Harvey's Pet offers pet training services to help owners teach their pets good manners and obedience. We have a fantastic team of certified trainers who use positive reinforcement techniques to help pets learn new skills and behaviors. Our trainers are experienced in working with all types of pets, from puppies and kittens to older dogs and cats. You will be able to choose from a variety of training packages, ranging from basic obedience training to more advanced behaviors such as agility training depending on your specific needs. Programs We Offer Include:
AKC S.T.A.R PUPPY CLASS
$175/6 Sessions: Students in this class are under 6 months of age and will work on basic training with their human guardians to get the best possible start while the puppy is still young. Our class includes basic obedience such as, Sit, Stay, Down, Sit-Stay, Down-Stay, Recall, Focus, Leave It, how to walk politely on a leash. 15 minutes of supervised puppy socialization at the end of each class. Harvey’s Puppy training is a great way to ensure your puppy begins their journey of growing into a healthy, balanced adult dog.
ADVANCED PUPPY CLASS
$175/ 6 Sessions: Students in this class have already taken the S.T.A.R Puppy Class and are ready for the next step! In this class students will learn all about the triple D’s in training (Distance, Distractions and Duration), walking through a crowd, going from a Down to a Sit. Stand, Bring It, Off, Sit, Down and Stay from a distance, call away, Back Up, building a stronger recall and working with level 2 distractions.
REFRESHER CLASS
$100/ 4 Sessions: This four-week refresher class is for any dog that has completed any of our training programs. This course is a great opportunity to have your dog’s skill set reinforced to help eliminate any bad behaviors that have recently appeared. This class will refresh you and your pup’s knowledge of known commands and improve them!
BEGINNER CLASS
$175/6 Sessions: Students in this class are over 6 months of age. In this class, students will learn sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay, take it, drop it, learn the importance of calm behavior, auto sit, find it, loose leash walking, leave it, adding distance to cues and building a stronger recall. Harvey’s Beginner class is a great way to ensure your adult dog begins their journey on the right paw.
INTERMEDIATE CLASS
$175/6 Sessions: Students in this class must have completed the previous classes or are approved by our trainer. In this class, students will learn Hand Signals with verbal cues, Impulse control, Sit, Stand and Down in Motion, Down Stay and Sit Stay out of sight, stranger food refusal, recall with food distractions and beginning to work towards off leash control.
PLAY AND TRAIN
$50/2 Hour Session: You and your pup need a break? We are offering a 2 our play & train that offers basic manners, structured exercise to help your pup gain confidence to work towards better behaviors. Available on Saturday's 11:30am-1:30pm. Includes snack. Call 518-762-7613 to reserve your spot.
